Sportbikegurls.com, an internet motorcycle community of Sportbike Riders is holding it's 2nd Annual Rally at Fontana Village in North Carolina to Benefit Breast Cancer Research.
Sportbikegurls has reached 2500 members in its first year and claims to be one of the fastest growing communities on the web. Founded in August of 2007, organization's primary goal is to promote safety, knowledge and women in sportbike riding while developing a sense of community among both male and female riders encompassing all age groups.
In the last ten years women riders have nearly doubled, currently making up about 10 percent of the riding population and 25 percent of all new motorcycle sales purchases. SportbikeGurls strives provide women from all over the country a place where they can feel comfortable talking about the common interest of motorcycles.
The 2008 SportbikeGurls rally was a huge success. It was great to see so many different people with a common interest come together as a group and do something good!
The rally was headquartered at Fontana Village, Fontana Dam, NC and it was the perfect setting for our rally. A Special thanks to Joey and Craig at Fontana for all the help and the wonderful food! We also want to thank Killboy and Zee for taking pictures! You guys got some great shots and we really appreciate it!
To all our sponsors without you none of this would have been possible. You donated some great stuff and we raised 1500 dollars for The Breast Cancer Fund!
Thanks to The great people at the Deals Gap store and restaurant! The food was great!

If you did not attend this year you really missed out! Heres what people are saying:
It was an awesome way to meet the folks from this forum that share the same interest in motorcycles. Not only did we get to ride the dragon and Cherohala skyway, we had fun and met friends we would otherwise never have. It's a MUST ATTEND event!-GixxerJanie
The first annual sbg rally was an awesome opportunity for people from all over the country to come together to support a good cause. The amount of love and compassion everyone shared for practically strangers is a great testament to humanity. We all may look like trouble makers but we all have huge hearts and a lot of passion not just for riding but in all aspects of our lives. Cute little blonde gurl
Thanks to the SBG Rally, I met wonderful people who were not judgmental or criticized my riding ability. The friends I made boosted my confidence in riding with all the advice and kind words they spoke. And they say meeting people on the internet is dangerous!- mybroomsa6R
The first annual SBG Rally was an awesome experience. Bikers came together for a great cause that affects millions of women each year. It was like we were not strangers meeting for the first time, but as though we were old friends who just hadn't seen each other in awhile. I will definitely be coming back again!-tnninja
The 2008 Rally Committee worked very hard this year and we will be working harder for 2009. We learned a few lessons on what not to do and next year will be even better!
Stay Tuned!
